Terms of Service
Effective Date
Effective August 12, 2026. These Terms of Service apply when you browse the cleansouls storefront, create an account, add items to your cart, or place an order.
By using the storefront, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the storefront or place an order.
Accounts
You may need an account to check out, save profile details, or view order information. You are responsible for keeping your login information secure and for making sure your account, shipping, and contact details are accurate before checkout.
Products and Availability
Product descriptions, images, prices, availability, and shipping information may change without notice. Some products, including gift cards, book club plans, and apparel, may be marked Coming Soon and may not be available for checkout.
We try to display product information accurately, but errors can happen. We may correct errors, cancel affected orders, or contact you for instructions if an order is impacted.
Checkout and Payment
Payments are processed through Stripe Checkout. Your order is not final until Stripe confirms successful payment and the backend records the completed checkout. Items left in a cart, local storage, or account page are not proof of purchase.
Prices are shown in Canadian dollars unless the checkout page states otherwise. You are responsible for any taxes, duties, import fees, card fees, or bank charges that apply to your order.
Shipping
Jelly Cake currently ships within Canada only. Canada-wide shipping is $5. Expected delivery is generally 5 to 7 days after purchase, but delivery timing is an estimate and may be affected by carrier delays, address issues, weather, holidays, or other circumstances outside our control.
You are responsible for entering a complete and accurate shipping address. If an order is returned, delayed, or lost because of incorrect shipping information, additional shipping charges may apply.
Order Changes, Cancellations, and Refunds
If you need help with an order, contact us as soon as possible through the contact email or support channel listed on your order confirmation. We cannot guarantee changes or cancellations once fulfillment has started.
Unless a product page or order confirmation says otherwise, books and limited physical goods may be final sale after shipment. If an item arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order details and photos so we can review a replacement, refund, or other solution.
Non-Profit Proceeds
When a product says proceeds go to charity, we intend to direct the stated proceeds to the named organization or cause. Unless expressly stated, purchases are not charitable donations by the customer and may not qualify for a tax receipt.
Acceptable Use
Do not misuse the storefront, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with checkout or account systems, submit false information, scrape the storefront at unreasonable volume, or use the site for unlawful activity.
Content
Book titles, covers, artwork, photography, writing, product images, logos, and storefront design belong to cleansouls or their respective owners. Do not copy, reproduce, sell, or reuse storefront materials without permission.
Third-Party Services
The storefront uses third-party services such as Stripe, Supabase, Netlify, and Render. We are not responsible for outages, errors, delays, or policies of third-party services, but we use them to operate accounts, checkout, hosting, order records, and fulfillment workflows.
Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
The storefront is provided as available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, cleansouls is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the laws of Canada that apply there, unless consumer protection laws in your location require otherwise.
Changes
We may update these Terms as the storefront, checkout flow, shipping, or products change. The effective date above shows when this page was last materially updated.
